🐾Health & Vaccination Policy

At Pawsh Paws Grooming Salon, your pet’s health and safety are our top priority.
We require proof of a current rabies vaccination for all pets, as required by law.
Though we do not require proof, we do ask that pets are up to date on core vaccinations (such as Distemper, Parvovirus, and Bordetella) before their appointment to help keep every pet in our care safe and healthy.
If your pet has special health considerations or a vaccine exemption, please discuss this with your groomer prior to booking.

🐾Matting & Health Risks

At Pawsh Paws, your pet’s comfort and safety come first. Matting can cause pain, skin irritation, and even restrict circulation. When matting is present, we’ll discuss the safest and most humane grooming approach before beginning.

If your pet’s coat is severely matted, we may need to remove the mats by shaving to prevent discomfort or injury. While this may result in a shorter coat, it allows your pet’s skin to breathe and their hair to grow back healthy. We use gentle, professional techniques to ensure your pet’s comfort throughout the process.

Because matting can hide underlying skin issues, some irritation or minor nicks may occur once mats are removed. Pawsh Paws is not responsible for any pre-existing or hidden conditions revealed during grooming.

🐾Right to Refuse Service

At Pawsh Paws, our priority is the safety and well-being of every pet and team member. We reserve the right to refuse service at any time if a pet’s behavior, health condition, or temperament poses a risk to themselves, our staff, or other pets in our care.

We may also decline service if a pet arrives with severe matting, fleas, or health issues that require veterinary attention before grooming can safely continue.

These decisions are never made lightly — our goal is always to ensure a positive, low-stress experience for every pet that visits our salon.

🐾Aggressive Pet Policy

At Pawsh Paws, we believe every dog deserves compassion, patience, and understanding — even those who find grooming stressful. We are happy to work with pets who have mild behavioral sensitivities, fear, or anxiety, and we take a gentle, fear-free approach whenever possible.

However, not all staff are trained or able to safely handle pets that display aggressive behavior. If a pet exhibits extreme aggression or poses a danger to themselves or our team, we may need to stop the grooming session for safety reasons. In these cases, we’ll discuss what happened and recommend next steps — which may include rescheduling with a groomer experienced in handling behavioral or special-needs pets.

Our goal is always to make grooming as positive and low-stress as possible for every pet, without compromising safety for anyone involved.

🐾Social Media and Photo Policy

At Pawsh Paws, we love celebrating our furry clients and the care that goes into every groom! ✂️🐶 Photos or short videos may be taken during or after your pet’s appointment to highlight our work, showcase transformations, or share those adorable moments that make what we do so special.

By booking an appointment with Pawsh Paws, you agree that we may use photos or videos of your pet for social media, our website, or promotional materials. These images may include before-and-after photos, in-process grooming shots, or candid moments in the salon.

If you’d prefer your pet not to be photographed or featured, please let us know at check-in — we’ll make a note on your file to ensure your wishes are followed. 💕
